Episode 17: The Look Across The Room

Welcome to the War Romance FIlm-Noir you never wanted.

Set amidst the ruins of humanity post-Trans4mers only a few humans survive, most are in a cult worshipping actor Stanley Tucci, and robots and computers are eradicating the enclaves of humans slowly but surely. Will a plot arise out of such a fun goof around? No.

Episode 15: Earthquake Wednesday

We make a Biography Spoof Fairytale with the help of genuine moooooovie producer and birthday week boy Ben Mortimer, who you can find on twitter for all your abusing needs.
The show runs a little different with a producer in the house, things are planned out a little more, so anarchy reigns slightly less. Only slightly.

Do enjoy the totally real not fake story of Joe Don Baker's bathtub of money, and a cameo from Crazy Mike himself, Liam Neeson, in today's epic episode. Epicsode.
If you have suggestions for film titles, genres and sub-genres we've not taken on board yet, e-mail us now, and if you want to guest star on an episode, we're offering it as a perk for a kickstarter that ends THIS SUNDAY! So get on that.
Check out the web pilot the kickstarter is about here, and the facebook and twitter for that show, and the facebook and twitter for Let's Make A Movie. Reviewing us on iTunes is also super awesome, less one stars please.

And in addition, the story of the production on the night before the Oscar ceremony at which the film is expected to sweep the boards, will we find out what happened to Werner Herzog, David Bowie and Sir Ian McKellen?

If you have suggestions for titles, more sub-genres we've yet to cover and the like, drop us an e-mail and you'll get mentioned on the show. If you want to be a guest for an episode, help donate to our kickstarter for the web series we made.

Episode 13: The Superb New Law (Part One)

We take on a fantasy fairytale fantasy spoof film-noir this fortnight as things go a little bit crazy at the randomiser bag, and the studio is invaded by Timmy The Talking Turnstile and Werner Herzog at the same time.

If you notice the title you'll see this isn't one complete film, but rather something more. As Werner Herzog presses director Eoin Mason about the story of his new film, The Superb New Law, we hear more plot and some interesting casting changes.
The second explosive part will be next fortnight, but for now enjoy setting up all the cards.

As we pimp out at beginning and end we have a web pilot coming online on Friday, so follow us on twitter and facebook to prepare, and also follow the podcast on twitter and facebook, e-mail us suggestions and rate/review on iTunes. Let's Make A Movie!

Tuesday 27 May 2014

Episode 12: Wild And Windy

Join us for a romantic slacker kung-fu film that sports the final payback from Eoin's flea-pun travesty from episode 9, along with fun, frolics and fu of the kung variety as Blended makes an ugly appearance and improvisations go on wilder tangents than you can throw a plastic wrench at.

As mentioned at the tail end of the episode, our web pilot is nearly ready to be shown, so follow our progress on twitter and facebook.

Episode 10: The Calligraphy Student, or The Famous Anus

We hit double figures this fortnight as we offer you the kind of short, introductory episode we kinda shoulda done 9 episodes ago.
But, still, this week we present a Campy Buddy Biography named The Calligraphy Student, but in addition we present the ideas of another film called The Famous Anus starring Seth Rogen's dad and Stellan Skarsgård.

As an added bonus, this episode contains deleted riffing too stupid for earlier episodes. So, make do with that.

Episode 10: The Calligraphy Student by Let's Make A Movie Pod

Don't fret, we'll return in a fortnight with a guest-ep, but whilst you wait, talk to us on twitter, on facebook, on the e-mails (We welcome all suggestions) and tell iTunes you love us.

Tuesday 15 April 2014

Episode 9: A Miracle Milestone

Eoin and Andrew team up to craft the Cult flick A Miracle Milestone, which is an Animated Crime flick, naturally, set in the world of fleas.
Be warned, there's a crap-ton of flea-based puns that are truly awful, truly truly awful.

Episode 9: A Miracle Milestone by Let's Make A Movie Pod

Go team!

We'll be doing fortnights for a while whilst production on a web pilot gets underway.

Episode 8: The Hope Of Cherry Farm

What a guest episode we have in store for you this week.
When VoDZilla creator and iFlicks hombre Ivan Radford steps in, the Quirky Music Mystery movie The Hope Of Cherry Farm employs every trick in the book to turn a simple farm-set Noel Clarke as a Cow feature into the story of Arnold Schwazenegger and Jean Dujardin's thing shop ownership and a Michael Caine appearance unlike any other.

Naturally documentarian and filmmaker Werner Herzog hasn't been taken down by the rat traps in the studio yet so he pops up and inflames this episode with even more absurdity.

Truly this is an episode for the ages.

Follow Ivan Radford on twitter, along with the show, we are also on Facebook, and you can e-mail us your title and genre suggestions.
Rate and review us on iTunes as well.

Episode 007: Found! Samuel Bamford's Exotic Adventure

In this quiet, normal episode we create a Crime Family War picture...
Somehow.

Unfortunately our office is as infiltrated as the island in the film we make, as a legendary documentarian joins the fun and helps our lead character find his plot. And a star wipe.

Episode 6: Crazy Mike's Circus

Andrew and Eoin set themselves a task of making a Action Mystery Music movie with the murder of Naomi Watts leading to her trapeze partner Channing Tatum and Investigator Lucy Liu to find out who committed the murder. Liam Neeson, John Goodman and Nicholas Cage are in it too because what else would you expect?

Tuesday 4 March 2014

Episode 5: Installation Devastation

Film reviewer Amon Warmann joins the team to create a dark heist thriller named Installation Devastation, and what follows is a cameo-fuelled celebrity extravaganza of music, rap, impressions and thrills. Who dies? Who'll double-cross everyone? Why is this all going on anyway?
Listen and find out.

Episode 4: Mr. Maxton's Magnificent Machine

Exciting news friends, we're now on iTunes!
That's right, you have the ability to send an iTunes link to people so they can download or mobile app it rather than sit through the SoundCloud links and deal with SoundCloud's famous totalitarian regime of audio file dealings. Apple have made it even easier for you not to ignore the show, and what a week for this to all happen!

What if Ryan Reynolds and/or Chris Pine got a big job in the city and were coaxed into some bad stuff by SNL and 12 Years A Slave's Tarran Killam? And what if the film co-starred a talking turnstile?
Well, Mr. Maxton's Magnificent Machine, a Business/Drug Drama, tells us all about this.
The least structured film made to this date, a madness of stupidity locked inside a crazy look at business and drugs by people who have done neither.
Enjoy.
Next week is an extra special episode, so keep your eyes out!
(Also, if you want to send in your genre/sub-genre/film title ideas, e-mail us, follow us on twitter and like us on facebook)

Episode 2: For The Love Of It

This week we create a Supernatural Mystery Spoof that stars Dwayne Johnson, Amy Adams and one of cinema's greatest characters. And there's rap, vampires, opening credits and a riff on Joseph Gordon-Levitt's hitRECord TV show to boot!

An Introduction

Hi, hello, welcome.

This site is currently being fixed up, spruced up and dusted down(?) in preparation for the very exciting premiere of a new podcast for you to enjoy during long, sweaty nights, dull days and eventless evenings, a podcast that kindly creates an entire movie each week for you to enjoy. The best thing about it, is none of the film is planned in any episode.

Using state of the art out-of-a-hat technology, hosts Andrew Jones and Eoin Mason, along with guests, pick out pre-prepared titles, genres and sub-genres according to the good folk at imdb.com, which is a useful website for the vast majority of you who probably haven't heard of it, it stores information about films, in some sort of archived and logged base of Brent Spiner in Next Generation-type Data. Well worth your time to introduce yourself to the website, I think it's going to have a big future.

But back to explaining just what this is, well starting Wednesday February 5th you'll get a sense, as Eoin and Andrew embark on their very first film, which we shan't spoil the title for you just yet, but if you liked Frozen, it'll be right up your alley.

We hope you'll find time in your week to sit down, stare at your iTunes or mobiled telephone and listen intently to every single word uttered, there may be a quiz afterwards so best be ready for that. And if this doesn't sound like something you'd be interested in, then please download and listen anyway and then listen again and again and again until your mind changes, because when the uprising against humanity occurs, it'll be rebels versus fans of Let's Make A Movie!

Thank you for your time, please move along.
